Yes, I did take the class with Maya and it was great! She is such a gentle, peaceful soul, don't you think? She brought piles of things to play with - it's amazing what can be made from cereal boxes & newspapers!
Having been granted the wonderful gifts of creativity and curiosity, I have spent my life working with my hands. Be it quilting, beading, collaging, flower arranging or journaling, I am happiest when surrounded by a room full of art supplies, focused on the project at hand. Lucky for me, my husband "gets it" and understands my need to sequester myself in my studio, wearing paint stained clothes and dragging thread snippets throughout the house. Even luckier for me, my Mother was a creative person herself and my Father is an Engineer. Mom fed my creative gift and Dad fed my curiosity. All of this adds up to me, on my colorful path through life -hope you enjoy joining me on my journey through the pages of my blog.
yup! she inspires me to think twice before buying something. instead i wonder to myself...how can i repurpose something?
